Hi Minchinbury Jets Soccer Club Members,

It’s round 15 this weekend. There are no matches at Minchinbury this Friday or Sunday, but we have another big day at home on Saturday with 18 matches being played at home and our Kebab Day. We look forward to the sun shining and plenty of kebabs being eaten on Saturday.

Kebab Day - This Saturday 22nd July.

Our Kebab Day with the Kebab Shack will be held this Saturday 22ndJuly. Kebabs will be on sale from 9:00am to until sold out. The price will be $12 for a Kebab or $14 for a Kebab and a can of soft drink or bottle of water.

If you have experienced one of our previous Kebab Days, you know how delicious these kebabs are.

The Kebabs will be either Chicken or Beef and come standard with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and your choice of BBQ, Tomato or Chilli Sauce. If you want to add a bit extra to your Kebab, they also haveTabouli, Humus, Cheese and Garlic Sauce.

We will also have our normal canteen and BBQ items available from the club canteen as well on the day.

BlackBear BBQ Burger Day

We would like to thank Chop from BlackBear BBQ for holding hold our first Burger Day on Saturday 8th July. I’m sure that everyone who tasted the burgers thought that they were delicious. Here’s looking towardsthe 2024 season when we hold our second annual Burger Day!

For those of you who can’t wait for next season, details on BlackBear’s outlets and catering can be found in their website www.blackbearbbq.com.au/blacktown.

Bingo Night – Saturday 12th August.

The club will be holding a Bingo Night on Saturday 12th August at the Lone Pine Tavern, Rooty Hill. Doors open at 7:00pm, Bingo starts at 7:30pm and we should run until 10:00pm (or maybe a little later).

Tickets will be $15 per person and include 20 Bingo Games, a dabber,and a shared snack platter per table. We will also have other fun activities, lucky door prizes, a meat raffle and other fantastic prizes up for grabs on the night. 3rd Family Fun Day – Sunday 27th August

We will be holding our 3rd Family Fun Day at the Lone Pine Tavern for our on Sunday 27th August from 12pm to 3pm. Enjoy a fun day out with the family & friends with the following activities:

• A visit from Mirabel from Encanto with story-telling and singalongs.

• A colouring in station

• A Kids Disco and games in the Pine room from 12pm to 2pm.

• Encanto on the big screen from 3pm

• Mega Meat and Toy Raffle with 10 meat trays and 10 Toys to be won.

• The Lone Pine will also be keeping the Bistro open all day for the event. Kids Eat Free with Main Meal Purchase exclusive for MJSC Members.

We would love to see lots of families and players at the Lone Pine for our final Family Fun Day and raffle for 2023.

• Junior Presentation and the Club Annual General Meeting – Sunday 22nd October at Minchinbury Reserve.

• Senior Presentation Evening – Saturday 28th October 6:00pm –11:00pm at the Lone Pine Tavern Rooty Hill.
